Women read gay
Many of those who have come out to some of the people in their lives say those people have been accepting. We also asked LGBTQ Americans how much social acceptance they see of people who are lesbian or gay, bisexual, nonbinary, or transgender in the U.

In this analysis, findings for lesbian, gay and bisexual adults do not include those who are transgender. Straight, white women who, in their “about the author” sections, talked about their husbands, children, cats, chickens, and love of artisanal cured meats.

Why Are So Many
Like the ATP, the OP and KP are probability-based online survey web panels recruited primarily through national, random sampling of residential addresses. Interviews were conducted either online or by telephone with a live interviewer.
Respondents indicated whether they are a man, a woman or nonbinary — or describe their gender in some other way. The vast majority of gay romances are written by women. Straight, white women. Gender was collected for analysis and not as a screening question.
Gay men can be both strong and vulnerable unlike straight men, at the same time, they don’t have to conform to the conventional gender roles. Gay couples can be a kind of escapism. There gay not enough transgender Americans in our survey to explore their answers to this question by gender.
When Lauren Blakely, a married straight year-old woman living in Seattle and a voracious reader, came upon the literary sensation Call Me By Your Name by André Aciman, a gay romance that was made into a movie starring Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer, she devoured it in a weekend.
They were asked read to indicate their sexual orientation, if they are transgender and if they consider themselves queer. We asked transgender adults about their experience coming out as trans. Transgender adults are of any sexual orientation.

Queer adults are included in the total results of LGBTQ adults in this survey and in the lesbian or gay, bisexual, and transgender totals if they indicated they also identify with these terms. If you are attracted to men and not attracted to women, then two men together is more attractive than one woman and one man.
The number of queer respondents who do not identify as lesbian or gay, bisexual, or trans is too small to analyze separately. The Center conducts high-quality research to inform the public, journalists and decision-makers. And then she decided she wanted to write a romance between two men.
